ABOUT ME
"When I liberate myself, I liberate others." -- Fannie Lou Hamer
My career has spanned many aspects of business, but what matters most to me is finding ways to improve how we all relate to each other and the opportunities we can create for everyone.
It's a passion and privilege to share my perspective and research on belonging, self-expression, and organizational resilience at keynotes, panels and workshops. I have been a guest speaker for The Conference Board, Society for Human Resource Management, DiversityInc, DiversityMBA, Human Capital Institute, and many talent, inclusion and performance conferences.
Recognized as one of Crain’s Notable DE&I Executives, DiversityMBA Magazine’s Top 100 Executive Leaders and Top 100 Women of Influence, I bring my love of mentorship and writing into commentary on career planning and guidance as a contributing writer. I have been featured in several career and lifestyle magazines including Black Enterprise and SharpHeels. I sit on the editorial board for Training Industry Magazine and the board of directors for the Village of Oak Lawn’s Chamber of Commerce.
I’m a graduate from Northern Illinois University with a Marketing degree and I have an Executive Master of Business Administration degree from the Jack Welch Management Institute. My husband and I live just outside of Chicago with our three sons.
